I've been looking at the suggested sources.list for 10.1 which includes 8.7 10.0 and 10.1 repositories. I did a bit of shell work to see what packages might be shared across versions and came up with an interesting contrast. I have a pair of VMs here, both with 10.1.6 on them. One is an Ubuntu 20.04 and the other an Ubuntu 22.04. I used those to compare the repositories each installed package was sourced from and then distilled it down to how many from each individual repo.
For 20.04 :
For 22.04 :I'm beginning to wonder how many packages may be able to be used to update FOSS builds given there's 192 packages sourced from the non-ne 10.1 repo for example.
Surely there has to be a way to build custom/revised packages and patch files to remove the need to do a complete over the top install each time a security patch is released.
Anyway, just pondering.
For 20.04 :
Code:
2 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/1000-ne 175 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/1000 27 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/1010-ne 16 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/1010 1 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/87 1 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/onlyoffice-1010
Code:
31 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/1010-ne 192 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/1010 1 https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repo/apt/onlyoffice-1010
